Drostei Webseite CK NORDIC FEELING Solo exhibition in DIE DROSTEI, Pinneberg, Germany I exhibited in the museum-like, baroque Die Drostei (go here to the website ) 12 middle to big-sized, abstract paintings, that have all their origin in a 2-months artists residency in Kirsten Kjaer Museum, in the north of Denmark. sculpture Webseite CK white water series Inspired by the fascination of water, its reflections, its refraction, its depth, its width, its waves, its whitecaps, its calm and wildness, in liquid and frozen form, I have created a unique series that impresses with its extraordinary depth and complexity . nordic feeling series The works in this series were created as part of my NORDIC FEELING project during the 2-month artist residency at the Kirsten Kjaer Museum in Frostrup, North Jutland, Denmark. The sculptures are mainly inspired by the roughness of northern Denmark's beaches, the wild weather, the stormy sea, the cold gusts of wind, the screeching of seagulls. Abstract motifs of seaweed dancing in the current appear again and again. aluminiert series The aluminized series represents the artistic follow-up to the 8-month art residency in Provence (Prix de la Sarazzine 2015). These works were all created after the time in the south of France from the impressions and memories in the home studio in Switzerland. The special light of Provence was the focus of this series. Moon Art Fair 2022 Webseite CK Moon Art Fair 2022 Elphilharmonie, Hamburg, Germany A spectacular exhibition concept: Abstract images are set in motion with virtual video content. In the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie building, I will amaze the visitors of my exhibition "Hide and Seek: A mental catch-me game" with an immersive expansion of her abstract pictorial works. For about one minute per painting, the viewer is taken into another world in which the abstract work of art is brought to life. With his own smart device and an innovative free app, the virtual content emerging from the image can be experienced in an augmented reality. As a side effect, the viewers head cinema is animated and the experience of abstract art is expanded by dimensions. The attraction of the hidden, hardly or not at all visible is celebrated by me. I play with the exciting expectation and awakens a childlike curiosity that encourages you to search. I have my early roots in photorealistic charcoal portraiture and animal imagery. Today I show multi-layered, abstract pictorial worlds, with semi-transparent layers, calligraphic elements and with misleading illusions, a real challenge for the viewers imagination. I subordinate various painting techniques to artistic expression. I use a wide variety of media from my technical repertoire to give my works an optical depth, so that the visitor can let their eyes wander around the work with relish and discover something new again and again.
